The Scientific Promotions Committee at the College of Basic Education / Al-Shirqat is linked to the Dean of the College and supervises the academic promotions of faculty members in all departments of the College, by carrying out the following tasks:
- Promoting the scientific promotion transactions for faculty members wishing to obtain the title of (professor) or (assistant professor), and submitting them to the Central Promotions Committee at Tikrit University after completing its requirements in accordance with the applicable regulations.
- Completion of the scientific promotion to the rank of "Teacher" after meeting all the requirements in accordance with the approved instructions.
- Completion of the procedures for granting the scientific title for the ranks of "Assistant Lecturer" and "Lecturer" after completing all the stipulated conditions.
- Presenting the completed transactions to the College Council to obtain the required due approvals.
- Following up on the issuance of scientific promotions orders and granting scientific titles by the Dean of the College.
